BRAVEMIND 2.0 Announcement

October 22, 2024

This is an Important Notice for users of Bravemind on Windows 11 PCs.

Microsoft has pulled Windows Mixed Reality from the latest version of Windows (Windows 11). Windows Mixed Reality is the backend that allows the HP Headsets to function with Windows 11. HP Headset is currently the only headset designed to be used with Bravemind 2.0. We have been in contact with the developers of Bravemind 2.0 to learn about impacts, work-arounds, and solutions.

Potential Impact

The discontinuation of support could render the HP Headset incompatible with Windows, disrupting ongoing research and clinical work. It is recommended to postpone updates or consider using a dual-boot setup with Windows 10.
*If you do not understand these instructions or feel 100% confident in knowing how to follow, you may need to set up a support time with VBI or with your IT department.
